The International Caravan of Roma Remembrance
Lasting several days, the journey begins at the gates of the Ethnographic Museum , where the original gypsy caravans set out, winding through the streets of Tarnów and the region, stopping in villages like Szczurowa and other places where Roma communities were mass-murdered during WWII. With the intention of not only remembering Roma victims of genocide, but also celebrating Roma culture, its music, language and traditions, the Caravan of Remembrance gives participants the opportunity to live and familiarize themselves with gypsy life and culture.
