Our new mascarons, with their historical pedigree stemming from sculptures that have been set in Tarnów’s town hall and have protected the city for centuries, refer to the historical heritage of Tarnów.
Modern mascarons have taken over their roles but have new tasks and challenges. Of course, they watch over the safety of residents and visitors, but above all they generate positive emotions.
They entertain, make you laugh, educate, provoke kind gestures, and encourage kindness and openness. They are waiting to become the heroes of your every photo, but they also encourage you to visit Tarnów, which boasts almost 700 years of history.
Fourteen artists from Tarnów have created these extraordinary characters, each highly individual artistically, full of creative dynamism and historical reflection.
The Mascaron Trail in Tarnow has 14 must-see places. It will take you no more than an hour.
