Information about the procedure

Everyone has the right to submit a request for ensuring the digital accessibility of a website, mobile application, or any of their elements. You can also request information to be provided through an alternative means of access, such as reading an inaccessible digital document or describing the content of a video without audio description. The request should include the requester’s details, indicate the specific website or mobile application, and provide a preferred method of contact. If the requester requires information through an alternative means of access, they should specify a convenient way for the information to be presented.

The public entity should fulfill the request immediately, no later than 7 days from the date of the request. If this deadline cannot be met, the public entity must inform the requester when the request will be fulfilled, provided that the deadline does not exceed 2 months from the date of the request. If ensuring digital accessibility is not possible, the public entity may propose an alternative means of accessing the information. In case the public entity refuses to fulfill the request for accessibility or an alternative means of access to the information, the requester can file a complaint regarding the digital accessibility of the website, mobile application, or its element. After exhausting the above procedure, a complaint can also be submitted to the Commissioner for Human Rights.

Architectural accessibility

Main office: Rynek 7, 33-100 Tarnow

  1. The building is located in the most attractive spot in the city – the historical center of Tarnow.
  2. It is not possible to reach the building by car. The entire center is subject to paid parking. It is most convenient to leave the car in the parking lot at Plac Rybny, on the north side of the Town Square, or in Wekslarska Street, on the east side. Access from there by wheelchair is comfortable, as there are no curbs or car traffic.

Nearest bus stop: Bema 02-Targowa, on the south side of the Town Square, for lines 2, 9, 12, and 30. However, access from there through Wielkie Schody Street may pose difficulties for people with mobility limitations and is practically impossible with a wheelchair. Therefore, we recommend using another stop for the same lines: Lwowska 01-Szeroka. This stop is located on the east side of the Town Square and allows convenient access, although it requires walking up a slight incline.
  3. The entrance to the building is widened, with a low threshold. Inside, there is a ramp that provides access for wheelchair users. Toilets with special handrails for disabled people are located on the ground floor.
  4. The tourist information is located on the ground floor.
  5. The promotion and culture departments of the Tarnow City Office are located on the first floor. The attic houses a conference room and guest rooms.
  6. There is no elevator in the building.
  7. There is an induction loop in the Tarnow Information Center.
  8. The IT point provides a computer workstation with Internet access, adapted for people with disabilities (special keyboard, trackball, and electronically adjustable desk surface).
  9. Assistance dogs and guide dogs are welcome.
  10. Sign language interpreter services are not available at the Tarnow Information Center.
